Recent Changes in Vampire Wars XP and leveling

Recently I noticed that I have 200+ skill points. I really don't have an idea how did I get that, so now here is the answer. Zynga made some changes with regards to XP and leveling.

Q: Why is my level higher?
A: XP/level curve has been changed to improve the game balance and your level was adjusted accordingly.

Q: Shouldn’t I receive favor points for the difference in levels?
A: No, since your progress hasn’t changed, only your level.

Q: I have extra skill points, can I use them?
A: Yes, those are the skill points you received for the level adjustment.

Q: Why was this change necessary?
A: This change, combined with the other recent changes, is part of a continued effort to achieve a proper game balance that will benefit all our players. This will make it EASIER for everyone to level-up.

Mandy Land 1000 Favor Points

COLLECT ALL MANDYLAND ABILITIES FOR A CHANCE TO WIN 1,000 FAVOR POINTS!

For every MandyLand Mission Tier you master to Level 3 in Vampire Wars, you will be awarded one Limited Edition Ability.

There are 6 Mission Tiers in MandyLand. The first Mission Tier is open at the start of the MandyLand event. Other Tiers open according to the release dates listed on the MandyLand homepage. For each Mission Tier, a Limited Edition ability can be earned, based on achieving Tier mastery to Level 3. A user can earn up to 6 abilities in the event.

In addition to the 6 Abilities earned for completing the Tiers, players who master ALL Mission Tiers to Level 3 will be awarded a final "Epic" Limited Edition Ability, "Mandy's Curse".

Players who successfully obtain the Mandy's Curse Limited Edition item during the MandyLand mission event will be eligible for a chance to win 1,000 Favor Points.

The MandyLand missions are only available for a limited time. A timer indicates how much time is left to complete the Missions. Zynga, Inc., the publisher of Vampire Wars, may extend the time available at its sole discretion, but is under no obligation to do so. If the time is extended, all those who receive Mandy's Curse by the new, extended time will be eligible to win the 1,000 Favor Point prize, too.

After the time ends, the portal will close and MandyLand missions will no longer be available. At this time, FIVE (5) players will be selected by computer at random from among those who successfully obtained Mandy's Curse before the timer ran out.

These five players will EACH be awarded 1,000 Favor Points, to be credited to their accounts within 2 weeks of the ending of the MandyLand event.

All players must abide by the Terms of Service of Vampire Wars to be eligible to win and to use their Favor Points; Zynga reserves the right to render ineligible any winner who in its sole discretion has violated any part of the Terms of Service.

Favor Points are not redeemable for cash under any circumstance and may only be used as an in-game currency; they may not be bartered, sold, traded, or used in any other manner which violates the Terms of Service of Vampire Wars.

NOTE: There is a button to Reset Mission Mastery that may appear after completing all Missions in a Mission Tier. Resetting Mission Mastery gives you the ability to re-do Mission Tiers in order to earn extra Limited Edition Abilities. However, you will not earn an extra entry in the 1,000 Favor Point contest. There is a maximum of 1 entry per player in the 1,000 Favor Point contest regardless of how many times a player re-masters the Mission Tiers.

Collector's Update - Collect Early

Fresh from the oven, The collector has now "Collect Early for [?] Favor Points" button. Clicking this button will allow you to collect your item before the you normally would be able to. Seems like Jeremy has some fetish with favor points, first we can bribe him if we came to collect the items late and now we can collect it whenever we like. And like before there is no confirmation pop-up that will appear, so clicking it accidentally is not an excuse for Jeremy. He will automatically deduct favor points and give you the item.

The price of the bribe will depend on how long before you’re due to collect. The more time left before your item to arrives, the more you’ll be charged to collect early. For every hour early you are, you’ll be charged 1 Favor Point, rounded up.

What I like about this one is that for every bribe you can have a chance to get the rare LE ability. So for those vamps like me who never got Midas touch, we still have chance to get it.

Open Combat now begins on level 125

In my level 70 blog post, I shared some of the tips that you should do before going to level 70 because of what awaits you in that level. But now they've change the cap to level 125, it's a good news for new vampire wars players. You have more time to get prepared and do these things

• 500 clan members or more
• 50,000,000 blood flow or more
• Superior Abilities
• 4000 Skill ranking

Earn Lilith's Favor

So, this was love, love, love all about. Finally, the mother of all vampires appeared and bring a new excitement in the game. I thought that this one is for Valentines Day event but I guess I was wrong, Lilith has the new epic ability Kiss of Death, bring enough white lilies to her before this event ends and she will reward you with Kiss of Death.Visit -> Elders -> Lilith now.

New Consumable Boosts

A new Vampire Wars game update that we will surely love, It's called consumable boosts, To see this one go to -> Stats -> Inventory -> Boosts. We can now stack boosts for our daily vampire needs. If your having a hard time to gain level 25 in a single day, this game update can make it easy for you, just stack enough energy, rage, health boosts in your inventory.

Collect Energy, Rage and Health Boosts to help you get ahead!

• Boosts will be stored in the Stats tab, in a new sub-tab called Boosts.
• Visit the new sub-tab and click on one of your Boosts to use it.
• You’ll be automatically prompted to use one when you run out of Energy, Rage or Health and you have the corresponding boost in your inventory.
• There is no limit to the number of overall Boosts you can receive each day. However, you can still only receive one Boost per day from Judgment.

Types of Boosts:

• 3 primary types of Boosts: Energy, Rage, Health.
• Boost amount: 50% of your current max for the type. (Eg: If you have a max of 100 energy the Energy boost would award 50 energy.)
• Boosts can take you up to 200% of a stat’s max value. (If you use a Boost that will take you over the 200% limit it will be discarded/wasted.)
• Boosts in your inventory are not giftable.

Conversion to Boosts:

• Replaces Judgment Energy, Rage and Health refills with these new Boosts.
• Replaces the Energy refills in the Mystery Gift Boxes with Energy Boosts.
• Replaces all refills in Ancient Vampiric Chest with equivalent Boosts.
• If you choose the Energy Boost from Jeremy it will store the item in the Boosts inventory.

Gathering Boosts:

• If you send a Mystery Box, there is a chance that your friend will receive a Boost. (Facebook only)
• Jeremy the Collector will now reward Boosts.
• *BETA: Some players can purchase Boosts from the Elders.
• Judgment votes will now reward Boosts.

What This Means for You, the Player:
This has been a long standing feature request from you, our players. You can now store up Energy, Rage, and Health Boosts and use them at your leisure. There is a bit of a trade-off (Boosts are half the size of a Refill) but this should allow you to store up loads of Energy for those days when you’re looking to level like crazy. The Collector

A new game update for vampire wars, the launching of "The Collector". His name is Jeremy and you can see by his smile that he is very happy to serve you, he can collect items for you, but you have to pay blood and you need to wait 1 day before you get the items. Visit ELDERS -> COLLECTOR now!

The Collector has a special feature which is a great way to spice it up a bit. Once you miss to collect your items you will have another option to bribe Jeremy with Favor Points. The required Favor Points to bribe Jeremy range to 1-3 only. Be warn though, the button does not have a confirmation popup. If you click on it, it will deduct Favor Points immediately. Also don't forget that you can unlock new trophies.

• Compulsive Shopper - Successfully hire and collect from the Collector 7 times in a row without arriving too late. 
•  Shopaholic - Successfully hire and collect from the Collector 14 times in a row without arriving too late.
• A Valued Customer - Successfully collect 30 times from the Collector

For Facebook players, after collecting the items successfully you will be prompted to share a special “Collector Mystery Box” with their friends.

Users who open the Collector Mystery Box will be given one of the following items:

• +50% Energy Boost
• +50% Rage Boost
• +50% Health Boost
• Control Bear Clans
• Cat’s Grace
• Organ Relocation

Collector Bonus:

If you successfully collect from Jeremy you’ll have a chance to earn a special LE item.  This LE will only be earned if you show up on time or if you’re too late and bribe Jeremy.

Refills become Limited a day

A bad news for all vamps, in the latest game update of vampire wars, they decided to limit the refills we can get from judgment 1 per day. This only means that we can receive 1 Energy refill, 1 Rage refill and 1 Health refill a day "All in all we can receive 3 different refills a day". Before this game update we all know that we can get unlimited refills a day, I myself get's 1 -3 energy refills a day which is very helpful to my missions. But they said that it was being abused by botters, cheaters and exploiters that's why they decided to limit it. Since we can only received 3 different refills everyday what we need to know is the time it will reset, well it is actually easy, after 24 hours the time you receive the refill you can receive another one again.

Conclusion

My personal opinion for this game update is it sucks! I blame Zynga a little because if they can detect that someone's cheating vampire wars why not just banned them?? It's frustrating because legitimate players like me has to suffer too.

A New Way to Allocate Skill Points

Finally, a new improved way to allocate your skill points. I know most vamps will love this new way. I know how we hate the old way. It's like manually you have to add one skill at a time which is very time consuming. But now it's not time consuming anymore you can add all your skill points remaining at once. You can adjust the amount of skill you want to add using the scroll bar or by the arrowhead.

I've been waiting for this to happen, A new look and a new improved way. I hope that as Vampire Wars game grow the user-interface will also grow. Keep it up Zynga!

I just collected all the New York set of limited edition items. I'm so excited when I found out Overthrow missions is now open. Resetting New York Mission Mastery

Resetting Mission Mastery gives you the ability to re-do Mission Tiers in order to earn extra Limited Edition Abilities. All Abilities may be earned multiple times except for Flames of Liberty, which may only be earned once.

Resetting your Mastery will not affect your progress in the 1,000 Favor Point contest or in earning the Epic LE Ability. However, you will not earn an extra entry in the contest.

Feed Santa's Starving Reindeer

Christmas is coming and vampire wars has something for us, it's called Feed Santa's Starving Reindeer. Yeah! that's right we need to feed vampire santa's starving reindeer. As you can see the reindeer looks very skinny and unhealthy. Since we all know that Christmas is a day of giving and loving what way to celebrate Christmas by helping this poor reindeer to gain back it's normal healthy condition. All we need to do is to feed this reindeer. We can get the reindeer's food by doing normal mission or by clan gifts. It appears randomly in normal missions.

Vampire Santa's reindeer is a bit strange because it only eats once a day. That's his diet and it means that you can feed him once a day. Each time you feed the Reindeer it will gain a Mission Mastery %. This event will end at January 6th, 2010.

Reward

As a reward for feeding the Reindeer you can win the three types of Army of Snow. The more you feed the Reindeer before the event ends, the better the version of Army of Snow you can get. The prize you are awarded is based on how well you take care of the reindeer.

• 1%-50%: Army of Snow
• 51% - 99% Greater Army of Snow
• 100% - Superior Army of Snow

Vampire Wars Gift Glitch

I'm sure we all experience the gift glitch, every time I accept gifts I get a nasty message telling me that I should accept gifts within 7 days. So all in all I lost 10 valuable gifts from my clannies but I think zynga fixed the bugs causing the gift glitch and returned all my gifts that I lost. I actually thought that I was really suppose to accept gifts within 7 days until I get a message from the admin of the vampire wars group that I joined. So tnx so much Wolf Veverka.

I visited Zyga's Vampire Wars Official Blog and I found an update regarding to the problem and some important notes they would like us to remember before accepting gifts are:

• Please try clearing your cache before you send a gift. (This can be done by hitting CTRL-F5.) You don’t need to do this each time, just the first time.
• Clan-mates that you were having trouble viewing before may not appear until at least tomorrow.
• Even though gifts may be sent normally, you may not receive a pop-up explaining that you’ve sent a gift.

For every New York Mission Tier you master in Vampire Wars, you will be awarded one Limited Edition ability. When you master a Mission Tier to Level 2, you will receive an upgraded version of that ability. Again, when you master a Mission Tier to Level 3, you will receive a further upgraded version of that ability. Thus, there are a total of 3 versions of each ability (normal, Greater, and Superior) which may be earned for each Mission Tier.

There are three Mission Tiers in New York. The first Mission Tier is open at the start of the New York event. The other two will open approximately 1 and 2 weeks later. For each Mission Tier, a total of 3 Limited Edition abilities can be awarded, based on Tier mastery to Level 1, 2, and 3, for a total of 9 Limited Edition abilities awarded for completing all Missions to Level 3 mastery across all three Tiers.

In addition to the 9 Abilities earned for completing the Tiers, players who master ALL three Mission Tiers to Level 3 will be awarded a final "Epic" Limited Edition Ability, "Flames of Liberty".

Players who successfully obtain the Flames of Liberty Limited Edition item during the New York mission event will be eligible for a chance to win 1,000 Favor Points.

The New York missions are only available for a limited time. A timer indicates how much time is left to complete the Missions.
